DESCRIPTION
Xovoltib (Afatinib dimaleate) is a prescription drug used in the treatment of lung cancer. It blocks the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply and thereby helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.

Dosage :
Usual Adult Dosage :
- 40 mg orally once a day
- Duration of therapy : Until disease progression or no longer tolerated by patient.
- Method : Administer at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal
- Closely monitor patients and adjust dose if not tolerated.
SIDE EFFECTS
Most common side effects Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Itching, Rash, Stomatitis (Inflammation of the mouth), Dermatitis.
