DESCRIPTION

Dobuarc (Dobutamine Hydrochloride ) injection USP is a synthetic catecholamine and a combination of 1,2-benzenediol , 4-[2-[[3-(4-hydro-xyphenyl)-1-methylpropyl]amino]ethyl]-hydrochloride,(±). This sterile form is used only for intravenous method and it is an oxygen sensitive formulation. This liquid is used in the treatement of heart failure and cardiogenic shock. Dosage :- Recommended Dosage :- The rate of infusion needed to increase cardiac output usually ranged from 2.5 to 15 mcg/kg/min (see table). On rare occasions, infusion rates up to 40 mcg/kg/min have been required to obtain the desired effect.

SIDE EFFECTS

Common Side effects are increase in heart rate , blood pressure , ventricular ectopic activity , hypertension , reactions at sites of intravenous infusion have been reported. Patient may also suffer from nausea , headache , anginal pain , non-specific chest pain , palpitations and shortness of breath.
