DESCRIPTION
ORENCIA (abatacept) is a prescription drug which helps in reducing signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis in adults. It also helps prevents further damage to bones and joints and enables to perform daily activities and if used long-term it may help to slow down the progression of joint damage and improve the function of affected joints.

Dosage :
Adult Rheumatoid Arthritis : For adult patients with RA, ORENCIA may be administered as an intravenous infusion or as a subcutaneous injection. ORENCIA may be used as monotherapy or concomitantly with DMARDs other than TNF antagonists.
SIDE EFFECTS
Common side effects are are headache, upper respiratory tract infection, sore throat, and nausea. Other side effects in children and adolescents may include diarrhea, cough, fever, and abdominal pain.
