DESCRIPTION
PEGSTIM 6mg (Pegfilgrastim) 6mg Injection is used to prevent infections after chemotherapy. PEGSTIM contains Pegfilgrastim, a synthetic protein, which is used to prevent neutropenia due to chemotherapy. The protein stimulates synthesis of white blood cells in the bone marrow, and prevents infections.

Dosage :
Usual Dose ( For Adults)
6 mg subcutaneously once per chemotherapy cycle, beginning at least 24 hours after completion of chemotherapy; do not administer between 14 days before and 24 hours after administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy
Dosage Associated with Chemotherapy ( For Adults)
6 mg subcutaneously once per chemotherapy cycle, beginning at least 24 hours after completion of chemotherapy; do not administer between 14 days before and 24 hours after administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy
Dosage Associated with Radiation ( For Adults)
6 mg subcutaneously once a week for 2 doses
SIDE EFFECTS
Most common side effects are Bone pain, Joint pain, Headache, Nausea, Reduced blood platelets, Muscle pain, Back pain, Pain in extremity, Injection site pain.
